Would you mind sharing your itinerary/ roadmap since my bro and I are thinking of doing the same road trip in Tokyo in the coming summer? I am also as surprised as you about getting the GR86 instead of the older version from Toyota rental car haha (That's nuts!)
we were surprised too haha, we drove from Tokyo -> Maebashi -> Mt. Haruna -> Doai Station -> Hakone -> Daikoku PA -> Tokyo, it was a 4 day trip!
